We will be holding open
auditions for
Animal Crackers
by George S. Kaufman and
Morrie Ryskin
on Sunday March 7th, at 2:00 PM, and Monday, March 8th, at
8:00 pm.
The auditions will be held at Grace Lutheran Church
ocated at 71st Road and Union Turnpike in Forest Hills, NY.
Auditions are held on a
first-come/first-served basis, but we like to remain
flexible in case we want to see people act off each other.
Callbacks, if necessary, will be announced at the auditions.
Performance dates are May
15, 16, 21, 22, 23, 28 & 29, 2010.
We are also in need of many non-acting positions. These
include:
- Set builders and designers
- Stage crew
- Costumers
- Ushers
- ...and other production-oriented positions.

Auditions are held on a first-come/first-served basis, but we

Please have a song ready. We will provide an accompanist. You
may also be asked to do some choreographed dance, so wear
comfortable clothing.
"Once Upon a Mattress" is currently looking for a Director,
Musical Director and Choreographer
Cast for "Once Upon a Mattress":
- Queen Aggravain – the loud, talkative woman
who is trying to keep her son, Dauntless, from getting married.
- King Sextimus – a kind, expressive, and
playful man who is mute; he likes to chase girls through the
corridors of the castle.
- Prince Dauntless – a handsome, young prince
who desperately wants to get married, but is prevented by his
mother's strict tests that she gives to all potential
candidates.
- Princess Winnifred – an outspoken, strong,
and optimistic princess who must go through the queen's unfair
tests.
- Lady Larken – a beautiful woman who wants
to marry Sir Harry; she tries to flee after an argument with
him, but is convinced by Winnifred to reunite with Sir Harry.
- Sir Harry – the macho, romantic knight who
leaves the kingdom to search for a princess for Prince
Dauntless; no one can marry until Dauntless has found a suitable
bride.
- Jester – an energetic and peppy man who is
the King's right-hand man and assists him with every endeavor.
- Minstrel – he becomes smitten with Lady
Larken and tries to persuade her to flee to Normandy with him;
he and the Jester also join forces to stop the Queen's plans.
- Wizard – the egotistical, ex-performer who
directly serves the Queen.
- Nightingale – a royal pet that sings a
lullaby to put Winnifred to sleep.
